Half-Marathon

​This year, enjoy a new course that starts on south Mill Street and takes the previous route in reverse, along the Riverwalk and St. Charles Street, ending at the new River Centre courtyard, a half a block from the start of the race.

Team Challenge

​The Heartland Team Challenge is a relay comprised of a 4-person team and follows the same course as the Half Marathon. Participants will begin the same time and date as the Heartland Half Marathon. The first runner in the relay will run  3.6 miles and pass their timing chip to the 2nd runner. The 2nd runner will then run 2.4 miles and give their chip to the 3rd runner. The 3rd runner will run 3.3 miles and pass their chip to final runner who will run 3.8 miles. 

5K

​This race begins and ends in the same area as the Half Marathon but will split apart very close to the start of the race. Be prepared to follow the volunteers’ directions at this split. Like the Half Marathon and all Heartland events, the route will finish at the new River Centre courtyard. 

Kids Fun Run

The 8th annual Heartland Kids Fun Run & Festival will take place on a NEW DATE AND TIME; Saturday, September 4, 2021 in Jasper, IN!  The Kids Run will be joining with the Heartland Half Marathon, 5k and Team Challenge to have a morning race full of fun and festivities!  The race will begin at 10:00 AM.
